Program Manager, Community Support & Prevention, Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation
La’Nette Holloman is a dedicated leader, speaker, and advocate with a powerful story of resilience and purpose. A native of Syracuse, New York, La’Nette has called Atlanta home since 2010. A wife and mother of nine, eight living, she became a mother at 13 and has overcome generational poverty, foster care, abuse, and repeated episodes of homelessness.
After losing her job during the 2008 economic downturn, La’Nette returned to school in 2010 to rebuild her future. Although she had earned her GED at 18, she enrolled at Atlanta Technical College, where she graduated with honors in Business Management and was named the Technical College System of Georgia’s Student of the Year. She later continued her education at Clayton State University. Her accomplishments have been recognized with commendations and resolutions from the City of Atlanta, the Georgia Senate, House of Representatives, and the Governor’s Office.
Since 2019, La’Nette has served as Program Manager at the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF), where she supports vulnerable families through the Community Support and Partnership team. Her work reflects AVLF’s mission to build safe and stable homes by advancing equal justice. She believes deeply in meeting people where they are and being a bridge to opportunity and healing.
La’Nette also founded La’Nette, Inc., using her story to inspire and advocate. As a sought-after keynote speaker, she delivers motivational messages grounded in faith, lived experience, and practical tools. Her mantra, “It’s not how you start but how you finish”, guides her commitment to empowering others with grit, grace, and tangible support.
